Ralph Velasco is a photography instructor, international guide and author. He's the creator of the My Shot Lists for Travel (MSL4T) app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch®. MSL4T helps photographers of all skill levels to bring back a more well-rounded and varied portfolio of images that truly captures the essence of a place.

Speaking of which he's the author of the eBook Essence of a Place: A Travel Photographer's Guide to Using a Shot List for Capturing Any Destination as well as the hard copy and eBook Ralph Velasco On Travel Photography: 101 Tips for Developing Your Photographic Eye & More.

Ralph has led tours around the world, including to Cambodia, Bhutan, Nepal, Morocco, Egypt, Mexico, Spain, Central Europe, Chicago, San Francisco, Death Valley, and he's led numerous fully-licensed People-to-People exchange programs to Cuba.

He's taught travel photography courses at the University of California at Irvine Extension, Saddleback College, Santa Ana College, the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Julia Dean Photo Workshops, at REI, Calumet Photo and other institutions.

He was awarded Open Photographer of the Year two years in a row by the Professional Photographers of Orange County.
